Project Configuration

Mingchao can customize the product configuration based on the technical information, operating conditions and dimensional data you provide. Final configuration can be reviewed and manufactured to the approved project drawing.

PTFE Bellows Expansion Joint Overview

The Mingchao PTFE Bellows Expansion Joint is designed for piping systems that require movement accommodation together with a corrosion-resistant PTFE flexible element.

The PTFE bellows forms the flexible section of the joint, while the flanged assembly connects the unit into the piping system.

Current Mingchao catalog data covers DN25–DN1600 three-convolution configurations and provides axial, lateral and angular movement data together with size-dependent TF02-1 and TF02-2 catalog performance information.

The applicable national product standard follows GB/T 15700-2008, verified as the currently effective Chinese national standard at publication.

Final selection should consider pressure, temperature, process medium, concentration, movement, vacuum conditions, flange requirements and piping-system design.

PTFE Bellows Construction & Corrosion-Resistant Service

A PTFE bellows expansion joint uses a PTFE bellows as its primary flexible element. Depending on the selected configuration, the complete assembly may also include flanges, supporting or reinforcing components and control or limit hardware.

The number of convolutions and complete assembly design affect movement capability and operating performance. Mingchao’s current catalog provides three-convolution data and TF02-1 / TF02-2 catalog values. No unverified construction difference between TF02-1 and TF02-2 is claimed.

PTFE is selected for its chemical-resistance characteristics, but final suitability must always be checked against the actual medium, concentration, operating temperature and complete assembly conditions.

Movement values are configuration-specific. Pressure capability is size-, configuration- and temperature-dependent. Vacuum and flange-dimension columns remain hidden until their definitions, units and applicable configuration are confirmed.

Axial, Lateral & Angular Movement

Mingchao’s current three-convolution catalog data provides axial, lateral and angular movement values by nominal size. These values are configuration-specific and must not be added together arbitrarily or treated as unlimited simultaneous movement.

Torsion is not an intended movement mode for this PTFE bellows expansion joint. The piping system should be arranged so that the joint accommodates the intended movement without uncontrolled twisting or severe misalignment.

Flanged Connection & Project Configuration

The current Mingchao catalog shows a flanged PTFE bellows assembly. Project flange specification, pressure class, drilling, sealing face and mating dimensions must be confirmed before production.

The old catalog flange block contains legacy headings and merged dimensional ranges that are not republished as universal export dimensions. Where a project specifies another flange system, the required flange standard and approved drawing must be reviewed together with pressure, temperature, medium, vacuum condition and movement.

Applications in Chemical & Process Piping

Chemical Process Piping

Movement accommodation in chemical-process piping after PTFE compatibility and assembly conditions are confirmed.

Corrosive-Media Transfer

Flexible connection for compatible corrosive media with concentration, pressure and temperature reviewed together.

Tank & Reactor Connections

Movement accommodation around tanks and reactors according to the approved piping layout and support design.

Pump & Process Equipment

Flanged flexible connection near pumps or process equipment within the selected movement configuration.

Chemical Water Treatment

Real Product Photos & Technical References

The photograph shown is the exact C06 PTFE bellows product published in the current Mingchao catalog. Available technical references include the confirmed three-convolution movement table and project-specific selection information.

GB/T 15700-2008 is the current applicable Chinese national product standard. The catalog’s GB/T 12777-2008 reference was removed because that obsolete standard applies to metal bellows expansion joints, not this PTFE bellows product.

Pressure, vacuum, flange dimensions, testing and documentation must be confirmed for the selected configuration and project requirements before production.
